Data Collection

A record of PIH reports will be maintained and analyzed by the Office of Inclusion, Community and Integrative Learning.

Data will be carefully evaluated to provide a deeper understanding of the campus climate regarding diversity, intolerance and free speech, and free expression, so that appropriate resources for students can be created. 

Records

Records are securely maintained and are filed by incident not individuals. However, an individual or organization can be included in an answer to questions on the form. If this is the case, no one is contacted unless there is an obligation to share it with other offices. Furthermore, any reports that are inconsistent with our processes will not be retained (unless there is an obligation to share with other offices). This is kept separate from any disciplinary or academic record. Records are maintained consistent with University recording keeping policies. Any Stanford community member may inquire as to whether any PIH report has been filed naming them and an ICIL staff will respond to the request.
